PSP 2018 Freezing randomly..

I've only had this installed on my computer for just over a week, and Wednesday I started having random freezing issues. The program just hangs, and you can see at the bottom its doing something as the green bar flashes by below. It usually freezes anywhere from 1-2min. When I say random.. I mean random. I could be using the pen tool.. or the eraser brush.. about to add a new layer.. or saving a project.. even if I try and close a project when I'm done. Sometimes it freezes and won't open when I click the icon on my taskbar if I'm switching between PSP and my browser or email.. if I wait a min or 2, then it will open. This is the same issue I've had with PSP x5. Its the reason I upgraded to the latest version. I just can't believe after using it for a week without any issues at all, that now, once again.. I'm dealing with the same freezing BS. I may as well get my money back and go back to using PSP x5 if I'm going to have the same issues. I'm completely livid this issue hasnt been resolved in all the different versions that have come out since x5.

First, can you tell us the version number of your PSP 2018: got to Help > About to find this.

And can you also tell us if you have applied Update Pack 1 to it yet. You can find it at https://www.paintshoppro.com/en/support/updates/

If you have applied it, then your version number should be 20.2.0.1... If not, then your version number would be 20.0.0.132(b)...

Yes, I did the update yesterday (Thurs Oct 5th, 2017). So the version I have is 20.2.0.1 This issue started on Wed Oct.4th, before I did the update, and it still happens now after it.
