I would say yes based on my experience with the latest update. No issues so far and all my file locations were still in place. The only minor issue I had is the bound scripts on my custom tool bar reverted to text only. This was very easy to correct and something that has been going on with PSP for many versions; not just 2018.
Keep in mind all systems are different so your results may vary but it sure wasn't the big, scary mess that was talked about earlier.

They released an update that was borked, pulled it, released something called update 1, and that is what is now live?

I am not understanding if this is the first proper SP / update to 2018 (I would call the failed original update a non event) why the version is not 20.1.0.1 instead of 20.2.0.1?
The original was 20.0.0.132. So when I eventually install this Update 1 (they seem to no longer be calling them Service Packs) Mine should update to 20.1.x.x.
Seems the order of updates is being disturbed as well.
