Masking in Corel X10

Post by tasker »

Hi everyone, this is my first post, I hope it won't annoy..

I recently downloaded the trial version of Corel video x10 and must I admit it seems very impressive and I've had no problems with it's performance, (I am a complete newbie to any video editing programme).

My question is this: I would like to sometimes mask/pixelate certain parts of my videos, for example, car number plates or people's faces. I have read all I can - the manual, looked it up on the forum here and looked elsewhere but I can't seem to find any reference to this, even when I for example, paint out a face even using a static mask it simply has no effect. Can someone advise if Corel Video X10 is capable of this ? and if so I'd be very grateful if someone could advise me on how to go about it.

Many thanks for those who might reply

Hi, look at tracking.
There you set your points and mark the area to mask/pixelet
