And can you right-click on the workspace and see - and use - Customize in the context menu?

@JoeB
That worked fine for me too, after the update
ZV_rightclickadjust.jpg
Aanpassen = Costumise

Like Marco wrote, all the settings were gone, despite saving and loading workspace file.
But no problems setting preferences etc. again.

So I didn't have to uninstall and reinstall? It was there all the time? What was the point in changing the way we have always done things in PSP? It's so frustrating.

You didn't. It is just like a fresh install, bar the personal toolbar and workspace colour.

So why did Corel take the Update off their website?

Because it was riddled with new bugs and the bugs it should have fixed weren't fixed.

But isn't getting a bunch of wonderful new bugs what we are all paying Corel for each year? ;-)

As written above, those new bugs do not happen here.

Understandable, given that the different reports indicate that different people seem to have different issues popping up, so which bugs you get seem to be very system dependant. I haven't checked everything, but I do not have Customize in the context menu, and I don't have the Tabs option in Preferences that allow me to have PSP 2018 open in Edit mode (or any mode I should be able to choose as default). So it opens with the Welcome screen, I do, however, have my workspace (which I had saved) complete although I lost all setting in Preferences, although they can be manually restored of course. I'm not terribly surprised by the latter issue, but completely frustrated by losing the Customize capability and the ability to change the mode in which PSP opens.

Zantara is using the Dutch version and does have Customize. I wonder if there is any connection to the language version being used.

I have customize on one computer that I had not gotten to yet. Right click anywhere on the empty workspace and it’s there. I was able to put back my keyboard shortcuts from there.

Does anybody know what the version number was for PSP 2018 at the time of release ? I installed the update and everything was screwed up. I uninstalled everything, cleaned out all registry entry's and went to re-install and found out that the installer is a just a download port, and it re-downloaded the install. At this point it says is is Version 20.0.0.132b. Unfortunately I do not remember what it was originally as I was not expecting this mess.

Arter re-install most everything seems to be as it was before the update, with the exception of the "Check For Update" feature is missing from the Help menu.

Also is there anywhere to download the actual program instead of the little downloader file ? It seem that PSP 2018 cleans out all the install files when the install is finished.

Not sure what you mean by having customize on one computer that you had not gotten to yet. Are you saying that you have Customize on a computer that you did not install the update on, and don't have it on another computer on which you installed the update?

I am speaking of a bug I reported here: http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=62431 , and that has been referred to in this thread. Some (not all) of us who installed the update do not have Customize in the right-click context menu anymore. It has disappeared as a result of the update.

I meant on a computer that I had not removed and replaced PSP 2018 without the update. I know which bug you are talking about. I posted that it was missing from the View Menu after the update. Everybody knows it was there on the View Menu before the update. You asked about clicking on the workspace and seeing Customize there and I tested it. ("And can you right-click on the workspace and see - and use - Customize in the context menu?") I'm saying yes you can. :roll: The thread you referenced concerns no tab option in preferences. I don't have that problem on the computer where the update is installed.

After Update to 20.1.0.15 x64 my "Save as" Dialog shows only 7 entries (BMP, GIF, JP2, JPG, PNG, PSPIMAGE, and TIF). Is this a bug ? Anyone the same problem?
