Zantra I believe in using multiple software packages. The more tools in the tool box the better. Heck I even use plugins to provide 'better' tools than even Photoline or PSP2018 can offer. If I 'loved' Photoline so much then I wouldn't have bothered to trial PSP2018 would I? Yes I use Photomatix for Tonemapping and HDR work. Simply cause it's 'better' than what is offered in PSP or Photoline. NX-D for RAW conversion because PSP's converter is sub par. The list goes on.

Don't be offended by criticism. If users never made comments/complaints then I hate to imagine what developer would get away with.

It has more bugs than the original program, so they've at least had the sense to remove it. We can only hope it comes back soon without its own bugs and properly fixes the complaints about the original release of 2018.

I'm removing it. They removed the option to have it pop up on a particular workspace (like Gallery) and when I try to switch file format the whole thing crashes.

Can you describe the new problems after the update so I can try if they happen here, too?

Reported problems:

* View> Customize (to create your own toolbar for example) is not clickable
* All settings are gone, despite saving and loading a workspace file. Only your personal toolbar, workspace colour and adapted tools are imported
* Plugins are no longer visible, except Corel KPT collection in 32-bit and in the 64-bit Perfectly Clear SE v3 and the Redfield filters
* All references are gone to other than default locations for materials and settings, so you have to completely redo it again
* Tabs option in File> Preferences> General Program Preferences is gone, so you can not set the standard PSP Edit workspace should start. You will still get the Welcome screen

I had to treat 2018 as a fresh install after the update. No bug fixes noticable. No imporovements noticable. PSP 2018 32-bit version has become slow to load again. The 64-bit is fine.

I think the bugs depend on your particular system, as problems are very different and cross Windows versions.

Thanks for the info.
Strange. There's not a single item of that list I can confirm here.

So are you saying that even all of your file locations and other settings in Preferences were not affected at all?

I can confirm this much:
* No way to customize toolbar's, it is missing completely on mine.
* Check For Update is now completely missing.
* Will not remember start up settings, I have to re-load workspace each time program is opened.
* Tab Options are missing
* Slow start up time when launching program
* Unable to see any improvements of any kind.

Somebody at Corel screwed up big time !!

Now I will have to uninstall and re-install original version.

Thanks Corel !

Same here: Lost all my customizations and keyboard shortcuts and customize is gone from the View Menu. The update might be missing from Corel's web site but it still pops up when you close the program. I installed it just now, but will be taking it off and that is a royal pain.

They were reset to default, but I was and am able to change everything again.

And can you right-click on the workspace and see - and use - Customize in the context menu?
