Latest Microsoft Security Update
Has anyone else found that Corel Video Studio 9X will not start up after the updates during the week of 9/10/2017? I removed 9X and did a clean install with the patches. No dice. It still will not start.

Re: Latest Microsoft Security Update
Can we assume you are still using Windows 7 as per your Profile? As for Windows 10, the update last week has certainly not affected any of my versions of Video Studio...

Re: Latest Microsoft Security Update
Prima facie, this effect looks like the MS update in Feb 2016 that screwed starting of multiple versions of VS. It took weeks and various patches to sort out. However, I have X8, X9 and X10 installed fully patched on my desktop, I updated my win7 x64 version on 15 Sep, and all of those VS versions start OK today.
As a shot in the dark, as it were, can I suggest you research the specific microsoft KB items (2 from memory) that caused last years issue and ensure they have not - thru the arcane workings of MS update - been re-installed. At this point, the patches that were issued as fixes for various VS versions last year should be available from the admins, but all the latest versions of VS should have them as standard now.

Re: Latest Microsoft Security Update
My desktop with Win 7 has all the latest Windows updates installed and VSX9 version 19.7.0.12 has not been compromised, working normally
