Trying to use paintbrush turns all of image blue
On trying to use the paint brush on a small image to circle part of it, the whole image turns blue which is the selected colour of the mat pallette.What is happening here.

Need more information.
1) Size of image in pixels
2) Size of brush
3) Image type - is it a paletted image or a full color image?
4) does zooming in or out change anything after painting? (trying to determine if it's just a re-draw bug)

Are you sure you're using the paint brush? The Pen tool will do that if you have a color selected for the background.

The image was a screenshot about one and a half inches square in the workspace.The pen tool worked as normal
Requesting the size of the paintbrush has pointed me to the solution. Somehow the size was set to 1959, do not know how this has happened, have not set this figure .Any way, reducing the size to 20 solved the problem, I guess the paint brush stroke size was bigger than the image.
