Thanks, that makes sense, and also explains why the OP was getting an unedited layer on his image before even doing the edit. You're not actually telling the script to wait until the outside program does its work, just forcing the script to stop until you respond to the message box. I was kind of hoping that the OP's workaround would work as a replacement for the usual uses of the Pause script but obviously that won't work because the script is running within PSP and you couldn't do whatever work you wanted until you close the message box, which would defeat the purpose.
But it's good info to know in any event!
