Metadata data handling continues to drive me up the wall...
this time its the copyright field...
I add/update copyright data to the iptc copyright tag in the original dng file using exiftool
It also appears that asp is actually displaying the rights field and not the copyright field, so copy the data into both tags
note file does not have an existing xmp sidecar file
view metadata in asp - still shows original incorrect data
refresh the folder in asp - still shows original incorrect data
merge external data - now creates and xmp file and still shows incorrect data
close asp and reopen - still shows original incorrect data
merge external data - now creates an xmp file and shows correct data ... finally !
Looks to me that the data is being cached and not being updated
Why should it create an xmp file just to reread the data into the cache ?
Hours and hours trying to figure out what I have done wrong .... but its not me its the bad software ! Hopeless
