Faint Background for Power Point

Post by DoctorT »

Hi!

I am a newbie using Corel PSP Pro X7 (64 bit) and MicroSoft Power Point 2010 running under Windows 7 Pro (64 bit).

I have a JPG file that I want to use as a faint (semi-opaque?) background for Power Point.

How do I change the opacity (i.e., transparency) of the JPG file?

Thank you!

JPGs do not support transparency. PNGs do.

PNGs will usually use the transparency that's already inside your image when you save.

On the other hand if you want a faded background (no transparency) just apparent transparency, you can copy one image and paste it on top of another image as a new layer. Then change the opacity of the top layer to make it seem that the top layer is semi transparent :
semitransparent.jpg
