I'm fairly new to videostudio x10. and so far I love it. however I recently came across a problem with it. I was working on a long project, like 30-40 small clips I had to set in an order. So I saved the project so I could finish it later and add the audio. But when I opened the program all my thumbnails were there but the timeline was empty. I then went back to my older saved projects and noticed they were all empty as well.
Is this normal to erase the timeline every time even after saving? Sometime these things can take all day and I really can't worry about not being able to save thing to finish later. Just doesnt seem normal.
Maybe just a setting I need to change or something?
Any help is greatly appreciated guys, thanks.

What do you mean by " I opened the program "? If you are simply opening X10 then of course your timeline will be empty. You have to 'open" your project file that you saved. It should have the extension vsp

Re: Timeline doesn't save in project
Hi and Welcome to the forum
I can't say I have heard of this problem before and it is certainly not right and has never ever happened to me
At regular intervals and definitely before closing Videostudio do you go to "File >> Save" and save the project with a suitable name - this will produce a .vsp file
When you open Videostudio again later to carry on editing you must now open your project again - it doesn't happen by itself - first option after opening Videostudio is to click on "File" and at the bottom of the menu which opens you should see the name of your project and clicking on it should open the project and populate the timeline - can you confirm that is what you are doing and still not seeing your editing
if that does not work then after opening Videostudio try going "File >> Open" and browsing to your project (must be .vsp file) and selecting it - does your timeline now populate
