How to highlight a black n white image

Post by cjc1867 »

Hi
I have a document that is an image and I want to highlight a section because it is grey scale and all the colours I can get is grey scale.

I would like to highlight in a yellow colour, so how can I do it?

I have looked and can't figure it out...

Cheers

The first thing I would do is make sure the image is in RGB 8 bits per channel. I would then promote the selection to a layer & do the color highlighting on that layer with the blend mode set to Color (L), then adjust the Opacity to suit. Merge all when done. Is this what you had in mind ?

to clarify in the edit space that's:
Image > increase colour depth > RGB 8bits/channel
that gives you a full colour image.

Hi
Yes that's what I wanted, I didn't realise I needed to increase the colour depth. Will know for next time.

Thanks for your help.
