Mobile phone incompatibility

I made a slow motion clip using a Samsung S 8+ phone. The video played fine on the phone. However, when placed in VS Pro X10 there was no slow motion. I could not use the VS tools to insert slow motion to the clip. Speed Time Line freezes. Time Remapping speed cannot be adjusted. Variable Speed freezes also.
Either Corel or Samsung have to make a change else this gimmick is useless.
I would never use these phones for any serious work. They are for the novice and "Hail Mary" crowd. Nevertheless, it should not be a problem.
Attached is video data.

Hi

The variable frame rate is probably a problem for VS, suggest you convert it to fixed rate before importing to VS. But, judging from the number of posts you have made previously, you have probably tried that already. Can only guess at the reasons why a variable frame rate is problematic.

Hi pepegota

Your original video was recorded at 240 fps for 13+ seconds that equates to 3200 ish frames

When you converted the video you should retain all frames, so your new video should have 3200 frames ( approximately)
If the conversion has lost /dropped frames then you will have lost the Slow Mo effect.

The question is what are the properties of the converted video?

I have a program called FreeVideoToJPGConverter, it does what it says, creates a Jpeg image for each video frame.
Then add those images to the timeline and set duration to one frame each.
Rendering to say mpeg at 30 fps will give you a Slow Mo video

We can do the same using Video Studios Ulead Image Sequence options, uis files, but can be tricky setting up. The converter mentioned above is much simpler.

I have to say that recording to 240fps will produce a very slow video, my camera records using 100fps, that works ok and is acceptably slow, X4, I am Pal so uses 25 fps not 30. Your video will be X8.
Does your phone have another lower frame rate option?
I notice that the video has been rotated by 180, if you turn the phone around it should record ok without the phone software turning the video, that may also cause problems for the video editors.
