I can honestly say I have never clicked that button. So it would be the default. Here is what is already there when choosing that.

Just need to create a script that can find issues in the file format of the image. Give me two years.
Your image included the creation steps in an XML format. This might make it replicate-able if the file can't be fixed. It'll just be a little annoying to interpolate.

thanks for getting back. If that was the issue then it's good for us to know in case others come by with the same problem. If it turns out not to be the problem (i.e., the problem returns regardless) then please let us know.

P.S. You mentioned earlier that you had never clicked the Options button on the Save As dialogues. I suggest you click that button for every different format you might save files as, at least for the purpose of learning what options for saving in all formats are available. They can affect the quality, transparency, file size, etc., of the resultant save, depending on the format you're saving in.

This is a long shot, but when you 'save as' did you click 'options'' on the lower right and choose the versions with which you wish to open it?
