I certainly hope someone can help me with this. I have Windows 10 Creators Edition (1703). I am using PSP v9 & X4. Since the Creators Update, I no longer see PSP images in Large Icon view or in the Preview Pane. I have removed & reinstalled both Sage Thumbs & PSP Thumbnail Handler. Nothing works. Last night I downloaded MysticThumbs & found it to be beyond both my understanding & my needs. I am very frustrated with this & don't know what else to do.

I had similar problems and now all pspimage files can be seen in windows explorer.

After doing the changes and then reinstalling, try re-saving a file as a pspimage and see if that helps.
It may take some time to suddenly click.
But I do now have the Creators update and all the pspimage files from PSP8 X2 - X9 now show correctly.
I have not yet copied a PSP 2018 pspimage over to this Windows 10 version to check it as yet
