CVSX9 and CVSX10 UI abnormality

Post by lata »

Hi

Welcome screen addition messes up Edit UI

Press Share, then Welcome then Edit, my UI shows the library full length cutting timeline short.

Press Share – Edit to set UI as normal.

Can anyone replicate this?

Hi Trevor

No problems here.
X9 Ult and X10 Ult both give the "usual"/"proper" UI set up with the Timeline full width of the VS screen.

You previously pointed out a similar issue with the update to X9 that introduced the Welcome screen; I did ecperience that intially.

Hi John

Thanks for that, yep there was an issue with X9 and the latest patch.
I noticed the same with X10, but only after selecting Share - Welcome - Edit in that order.

Once set the F7 to reset the UI to default did not work, but dragging any panel out of position and hitting F7 worked.

It is just Share - Welcome - Edit sequence that caused the problem.
Strange that you cannot replicate as you saw the X9 issue?

Hi Trevor

Just checked again, just in case...

Still no problem - Share - Welcome - Edit gives my usual UI layout.

I have switched the Preview window to the RHS with the libraries etc to the left and saved as Default #1 in both X9 & X10. My previous NLE of choice was set that way, and I'm far too old to change!

This is what fires up when opening. (I've changed the default opening screen to Edit under Preferences) as per your previous suggestions.

Trevor -- I get the same as you did, and as you said, then pressing Share > Edit reverted to my normal view.

I have to say, though, it would be highly unlikely that I would ever have pressed Share > Welcome > Edit in the first place...

Thanks Ken

At least I know it's not just my pc.
I am finding other strange things, if I add the library with folders, when I reach the limit before i have to scroll
I see the background showing through, a little hard to describe. The display not correct.

I will provide a sceen shot, I am on tablet at moment, so cannot use vs.

Just that there seems to be a lot of different small insiginifiant things showing within video studio that were not apparent with earlier versions.
