Glasses editing assistance

Post by grinolot »

Any videos/tutorials/suggestions for a recent version of PSP ( I'm using X8) showing the best way to edit the face and hair in a portrait where the subject has glasses and end up with something like what's attached?

I don't know what you're asking, because the attached doesn't show what was being done but only shows an image of part of a face with glasses.

If you're asking how you can adjust facial features (like skin tone, wrinkles, blemishes, etc.) for the overall face - including the part of the face behind the glass - then you're likely running into problems with your changes affecting how the glass also looks. If that's the problem then I don't know how you can address it, because PSP can't just improve the facial features behind the glass and at the same time ignore that the glass is in front of the facial features.

Lets see I might try mind reading as well.
Perhaps the OP wants to remove reflections in the glasses and get a clear eye view.
Or perhaps the OP wants the glasses removed totally?

MMm my clairvoyance is really bad today?? :D :D :D

I apologize. I wasn't clear. I was looking on how to fill in the hair in the glasses and the the face in the glasses so it's continuous from the top to the bottom of the glasses.

I would use the Clone tool to fill in the hair. Then, I would select the Warp Brush > Push Mode. Gently nudge the skin until it's about where you want it. Finally use the Iron Out mode to smooth the edge. You might have to play with the tool sizes a bit & Strength about 21 or so. Also, don't try to do it all with one stroke. Be gentle & it will work.
