Lost Titles

Post by sekjr »

I deleted the icons for Titles in the Lubrary that I wouldn't be using. Now I want some of them back. What file folder would I go to in Pro X4, to retrieve lost titles?

Thanks - but - that only restores what was remaining after previously deleting all the other icons..., and wipes clean all my Favorites in the Title Library!

If I want to 'Import Library', it wants me to browse for a folder, which gets me back to my original question... for Pro X9. I upgraded...

Also - here's a goodie:

They changed the look of the transitions in X9 - specifically - in the PEEL category. They all used to have the page turning in green! Now, in X9 - they are a dull gray! Can that be changed???

Can the PEEL category from X4 be imported to X9???

Hi Sekjr

And welcome to the forums.
Please be a little patient as your first two posts are monitored then approved by Admin or Moderators, this can take a while, a few hours at the most.
Once you have posted twice your posts should show without approval speeding up any replies you may get.

I will read your posts again to see if I have any advice I can give...........

Hi

We can change the colours of the peel

Do you still need the transitions from X4? as I would think they are the same as x9

Hi

This folder contains the transitions for X5, I do not have X4 installed but will have a similar folder.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Pro X5\Vfx_plug

The same folder for X9 contains one more file TrkTrans.vfx otherwise they are identical.
No point in transferring those files, but if you do……
The only problem you may have in transferring the files would be X4 is 32 bit program whilst X9 is 64bit
Make a copy of the X9 Vfx_plug folder before replacing any files.

Personally I think you are wasting your time and may cause more problems than its worth.

I feel like a fool. I didn't think I could change the color of the transition. I didn't know there was OPTIONS available.

Thanks for being so tolerant...

Hi
Not a fool at all, so many small bits and pieces that can be overlooked.

Strange that I prefer the grey/silver look rather the green, I change the colour to match the clips.
I guess the green would work if using Chroma key to view the background, never tried that option?

Sekjr

I have a solution for you
After adding the Peel type transition, change the colour to Green.
Now right click the transition on the timeline and choose Add to Favourites

Although the library clip animates showing Grey, when added to the timeline will have a green colour.
If you use different colours we can re-name the library thumbnail within the Favourites folder
Simply click the name (barndoor etc.) type a new name (green barn door)

WOW!!!

THANKS!!!

BUT - one modification. In X9 you double-click on the name, then backspace the old name out...

Great tip!
