Ehume, they do have icons. We just no longer have a quick one button way to see them like we used to.

Now if you go to view -> Customize and then click on the menu, right-click on any menu item an choose "Text and image" you'll see the icons.

My hat's off to you. That is a remarkably granular approach to customization, providing the "Ultimate" in customization. My only trouble with such a thing is that it is not obvious how to do this until an advanced user takes you by the hand and shows you the possibilities. Thanks. This answers my wish.
Had PS3, PSP3; Installed: PSP-4.12, 5.03, 6.02, 7.04 (liked it a lot & used it for years), 8.00, XI, x4.3.0.3, x6.2.0.20, x7.4.0.11, x8.3.0.13, x9.2.0.7; now using PSPx10 (PSP 2018; version 20.2.0.1 x64) on Win 10-64 b2004.

I would appreciate support for the emerging HEIC standard.

As now made "popular" by Apples IOS11 ...

While there are utilities available to convert Apple HEIC files to JPG / PNG etc - it would be nice to know that Paintshop was getting its hands on the original / best possible version of the file rather than something converted by Apple or for that matter any other software ...

- Full TIF Zip compression support and some B&W TIF formats should not be converted like a RAW...
- Better RAW converter (with shadow and highlight recovery, vignetting reduction, more lens corrections with own samples like in Aftershot)
- Camera RAW Lab context menu when disabled in manage mode
- Better HSL dialog (like Lr with colours sliders) with three tabs H, S and L
- Better hue map (horizontal with +/- 0 position) perhaps integrated in the HSL dialog
- More layers blend modes
- Healing brush should work in B&W mode like in PSP X7
- Introduced bugs removed
- Lr template converter
- FLIF format support
- Less new bugs...

This wouldn't be integrated, it would just let the user open things from within PSP.

I'd like to be able to just have a menu option like a Windows shortcut where I could just have "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 9.0\Acrobat\Acrobat.exe" "D:\PSP stuff\User Guide.pdf" (plus any user command-line parameters) and when I click on that it will start the other program. No integration, passing info back and forth between other programs, etc., just I can start the other program from a PSP drop-down.
LeviFiction wrote:That can be done with scripts. A trusted script can run other programs on your computer. Then bind the script and put it in the menu. I actually did this once to open the local PDF of the help files.
But it shouldn't be necessary to start writing scripts. It sounds like it wouldn't be that hard to add:
  1. Specify the executable type:
    [ ] shortcut
    [ ] Powershell script
[ ] Run using the command processor in COMSPEC.
  2. Enter the full path to the executable, script, or shortcut:
  3. Enter any command-line parameters:
  4. Enter the menu text to display:
Those would automatically be added to a drop-down menu, probably between Window and Help

It would be great if they included duotones for those of us who enjoy shooting b&w as well as being able to modify them using curves and/or numerically.

There is a script called Clip to it, available in a bundle of utility scripts here:
https://shop.learn.corel.com/products/u ... ipt-bundle

It does just that.
If you want that script alone, not in a bundle, it is also available in my store.

Auto-append.

I do genealogy and that includes finding newspaper articles and running OCR on the image.

A problem is the columns. An article might stretch over several columns. OCR software doesn't recognize those and sticks the side-by-side text on the same line.

So I wind up copying one column and pasting it, copying the next column and pasting underneath, copying the next column, pasting underneath, etc. Once it's copied to a single column I can run OCR.

I'd like to be able to just hi-lite, copy, go to the target and click an icon (or a designated hotkey) and it will automatically increase the height downward and if necessary increase the width to the right, then paste the clipboard at the bottom.

It would probably be necessary to have a user-settable border setting, e.g., a 25-pixel border is added above each paste.

I use the manage tab to choose images to work on in the edit tab. A lot of that work involves pasting an image on top of another image and moving to the desired position. When I come back from the manage tab to the edit tab; PSP has reverted to the pan tool. I want it to stay with the move tool. I know I can press M to get the move tool back but why do I have to? Using PSP 2018 v 20.2.0.1 32-bit, because the most of the plugins don't work in 64-bit.

Seconding this, I find it extremely annoying that I have to resort to converting - it's a minor inconvenience that for some reason just gets under my skin.

I would like the option of changing a raster layer to vector. I know this is possible, but it has never been addressed in PSP.

I have not read all 13 pages and so I do not know if someone has already made a similar request: I would find it very useful to work in the PSP browser (in Manage Workspace> "navigation") as you do in windows, ie move, create, delete folders; move photos from one folder to another etc. In ViewNX 2 (the Nikon SW) you can do it and it's very convenient.
PS: Adjust workspace is useless for me

I'd like to see support for the RAW (.cr2) files from the Canon 6D Mark II (promised for X9 and 2018, but never happened) and also for the .CR3 files from the Canon M50.
