Good idea. Just save your original with all the layers in case of future need.

EDIT FOR KEN BERRY: Sorry that this particular subject went further than expected, although it started with a request for PSP 2019 that doesn't seem to be a general issue with previous versions. I don't know how you might want to handle a situation like this in a thread like this. In future, however, if I suspect a response to a request might end up becoming a much larger discussion I will try to have the OP post the issue in the main forum.

REPLY FROM SITE ADMIN: Thanks Joe. Your discussion with frankfokke a little later in this thread developed in the same way into a substantive discussion. Though you requested Frank to post a separate thread on the subject, that never happened. So I have split that thread away from this Wishlist myself and titled it 'How to Replace an Object'.

Sounds good Ken. IMHO the Wishlist gets long and convoluted enough, and if it continues to be used as a thread to get help with PSP rather than requesting improvements or additions to the existing versions then it will become kind of pointless.

Merged and deleted some layers.

Current Image Information dialogue now says:

PPI: 600
Layers: 66
On disk: 63.042 K
In RAM: 1.933.587 K

No noticeable performance improvement yet, but some cleaning uping was in order.

Need an angle icon that can be maneuvered by hand (like the one in patterns) for the paint and push brushes. I rotate my brushes a lot
and doing this by number is very time-consuming. Also, it's not that easy to see the rotation on the lighter, grayer brushes.

I'd wish for one that works. Haven't been able to use PSP X9 for a year now as it keeps coming up with a script message and locks up. Don't bother with fancy new features just get the existing one working properly :-/

While I'm aware of the issue to which you're referring from other threads, for the Wishlist thread I think it would be more useful if you specified the specific tool you are using that causes the javascript error. As I understand, it's the mapping/geotagging feature only. If that's the case and the post makes that clear then we won't get lots of people saying they don't get js errors and asking what causes you to get them. :-)

As a longtime PSP user, I have been very disappointed with Pro 2018!

The erase brush is useless! It is very, very slow.

Most of the time, the clone brush leaves distracting trails of the brush shape all across my picture!

I have been forced to revert to PSP X9 in order to do my photo retouch work.

Please fix it. I really like some of the other features of 2018.

As I said to another poster a few days ago, before posting in the Wishlist thread it would pay you to post first in the main forum and ask if PSP has the ability to do what you are asking.

I watched your video and, unless I'm missing something, then all you want is the ability to first make a selection and then be able to edit it with a mask, which mask also has handles that allow you to reshape it to different sizes and proportions. You do that with Selections>Edit Selection. This brings up the mask. Then you select the Pick tool which adds the handles (or you can use brushes to add/remove parts of the mask). Edit Selection is a toggle, so after you have reshaped your selection you use Edit Selection again to toggle the mask off. I actually use a short script (bound to a button on my toolbar) that both brings up the mask and automatically selects the Pick tool so with one click you're ready to go. And hitting the button again toggles it off and de-selects the Pick tool - which I don't like hanging around because I find its outline and handles intrusive. :-)

information about editing selections is also available in the Help file or the PDF manual. The feature for doing so is not new to PSPX9 or 2018 but has been available for some years.

If that's what you're looking for, then again I would stress that this is not the thread to find out if PSP has a particular capability. You find that out by asking in the main forum. If advised in that forum that PSP can't do what you want then this is a thread to request that the feature/tool be added to the next version.

Oops, I'm sorry ! I am a savage who is not very comfortable with board rules.

If you understand the purpose of my request, without wanting to offend you, I do not like to click more than reason, this applies to this forum too.

We are agree, I don't ask for a new feature, this already exist in the program, but it's not simple. What i would like to see implemented is a simple tool like this
modifiable_selection.jpg

Do you want to share your script? it looks fine !

Given the rest of this post it seems I do understand the purpose of your request. However, you are in the thread generally used for requesting new features, and you requested a feature that already exists. As stated, the main forum is the place to first ask for help in using the program and its existing features.

I don't mind sharing. I will post it in a new post in the Scripting sub-forum. But in the end it will really help your workflow with PSP if you first familiarize yourself with its features, both by checking out all of the options in the menu and dropdowns from each menu, and searching Help or the PDF manuals. And, of course, use the main forum for questions about using PSP and its tools. :-)

Thanks a lot for sharing, I do not have a workflow, so I rarely use scripts because I do very different things. But this one, it will help me quite often

Just referring to Spitfrog's post, it could have been a more succinct request :
'A change to all selection menu items to allow upon completion of the selection an automatic activation of the Edit mask and Pick tool with of course a tick box on the Tool Options palette to allow this feature to be turned on or off.'
If it occurs automatically then there would be no need for the extra button on the layers palette which is already looking crowded with 7 buttons there.

I wish to have a tool to remove glass reflection from photo. Also allow script to run perfectly clear with customized setting.
