PSPx9 no file menu in edit mode

When I'm in Edit mode I do not see the File menu. I'm using Windows 10, PSPX9 64bit.
Any suggestions?

You can reset PSP to its default by closing it, then holding down the Shift key while starting PSP again. You will lose any customizations you might have done to the workspace.

Have you inadvertently deleted / removed the File option?

Right click the workspace for customize
Select the Toolbar tab
Select the MenuBar option
Select Reset

Hopefully the File menu should return?

Go to View > Customize > Menu and click the Reset button. That will fix it.
