I still keep PSP5 on my system as it loads in less than a second and is good enough for many tasks. Doesn't quite have the capability of PSP9 tho..

I was frankly disappointed in PSP X9 compared to PSP9 (which doesn't seem happy with Win10). PSP9 ran so well under WinXP, fast loading, intuitive keystrokes, no fuss. PSP X9 reminds me of the bloated and kludgy modern versions of Adobe Photoshop...
I went back and tried Paint Shop Pro v9.00 but found it wouldn't even start under Win10 v1709, no matter what compatibility settings were tried.

However Paint Shop Pro v8.00 US started without problems or tweaking, in well under a second. No doubt it doesn't have the bells & whistles of PSP 2018 or x9, but it is more refined than PSP5 and really will meet all my modest needs, I won't be painting the Sistine Chapel any time soon..

I posted comments in other areas but not getting any help. I continue to get random crashes in this product. Sometimes when managing thumbnails and sometimes when editing images. I see from the posts that others are too. Is there somewhere to go to post bug reports and is anyone at Corel working on them?

Contact Corel directly. This is a user forum, while Corel employees do occasionally see and respond to questions they are not officially offering support here. You need to contact support.

The icone of Paintshop 2018 are so ugly they are too childish and Paintshop 2018 is not fast.
Give me the icons of Painshop X4 nice and super tight.
And I think that the extra programs at Paintshop 2018 are commercial, you have to buy the really nice things?

Ja, daar heb je gelijk in!
For me, PSPX5 had the nicest interface and best looking icons.

I have been posting for awhile about random crashes (glad to see I am not the only one). No continuity to why they happen. Sometimes while working in thumbnail manager scrolling and others while editing an image. Error message says "an error has caused this program to stop responding". I have latest update to PSP 2018 and latest updates to WIN 10 and NVIDIA. Any suggestions?

Has the script errors when clicking on the map been resolved in the new version? I'm certainly not going to upgrade as I haven't been able to use PSP X9 for the last year as everytime I click on the map it gets a script error message come up and then the only thing to do id to get Task Manager to close it down. I've tried getting help but got no replies. Looking at other alternatives now!

Given that the first (original) post in this thread to which you recently posted http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=62857 was from a user of PSP2018 I think that would have answered your question. :-)

I would like the feature that enables me to convert a raster image to a vector.

I replied to your same post in the Wishlist topic (which is, actually, the proper place to post a wish for future development) with my opinion and which you can read here:

Corel programs: CorelDRAW SE for Bernina 8.1 Embroidery

Re: Introducing the NEW PaintShop Pro 2018!

I just purchased PSP Pro 2018 at Best Buy for a very reasonable price. Did so because my New Bernina Embroidery software comes with Corel Draw but not a full version. All the tutorials are on the full versions. Not helping much. Used Jasc years ago (read entire manual) for the unique features it had. This version is so different though. My usual go to is Adobe, but would like to work with my embroidery software more. This is not a job for me. I'm just a crafter and not a computer guru. Joined the web board to pick up some skills as a novice. A lot of the post are over my head and I seem to be reading more than doing. They tell me I have to post to retain my membership in the Board. So here goes. Hoping some of you can understand I want to at least try. Thanks!
