Hi,
Hoping someone can point me in the right direction please.
I have a number of .mkv video files with 5.1 sound.
I can put any of them into the library widow and then the timeline without an issue excep one.
The one I am working on HAS 5.1 audio. When I double click it from the library, it plays with audio perfectly.
Yet when I put it onto the timeline, it has NO audio.
When I right click it and select properties, it has NO audio properties.
I don't know how to resolve this!

Re: No Audio Track Showing
Perhaps try converting the problem file to another format, e.g. mp4 or wav.frosty998 wrote:I don't know how to resolve this!

Re: No Audio Track Showing
It is a video file so wav would not do it.
I converted it to mpg yesterday and the same thing happens.
I can have two identical mkv videos which work perfectly with sound in any other software, put them both into Videostudio and one plays sound and the other does not.
Look in the properties of each and one shows Dolby Digital Audio 6ch. The other shows Audio: None.

Re: No Audio Track Showing
Try rewrapping/converting the problem MKV file to MP4.
Handbrake is normally recommended around these parts.
VLC also has conversion capabilities.
