PSP 8 EXIF data

Hi

I have been rather alarmed to find that all the comments from the EXIF data has been removed from my photos after I edited them to improve image etc.
Why does PSP remove this field? and how can I stop it

Are you speaking about PSP 8 (Jasc) or PSP X8 (Corel) ?
I don't see it in your profile.
If PSP 8, I cannot test it.

That Comments tag you are pointing at in your posted image is obtained through using Windows Explorer and then selecting the image and Right click and select Properties and then the Details tab.
That particular comment does not appear to be supported by any of the graphics programs I have researched. It is furthermore not included in Exif or IPTC info.

Irfanview - shows a wealth of Exif and IPTC information with plenty of places to add comments tags categories etc.

PSP X8 - supports some of the Exif and IPTC in Manage mode and less IPTC in Edit mode but not keywords and categories.

Affinity Photo - does not display much EXif and non of the IPTC info.

Serif Photo Plus 6 shows the EXIF and IPTC info and also keywords and categories.

Arcsoft Photo Studio 6 also has limited Exif and no IPTC data shown.

Not sure what Photoshop showa as I do not have it on this computer.

Rather than adding your comments through Windows Explorer you may be better off doing that in a program like Irfanview or else in PSP X8 itself.

You should also probably change the topic heading to refer to X8 as well so that it does not come up in searches for Jasc PSP 8
