"Save As" Preferences

When I open a jpeg file, edit it, and "Save As", my PSP X9 software is defaulting to pspimage format. Is it possible for me to change the default to jpg? I wandered thru the preferences menu but couldn't find anything that would let me do it. Thanks for your help.

I don't think so.
For that you have the option File > Export > JPEG-optimalisation
But if you use "Save as" jpeg is the next option under pspimage.

Usually the Save As dialog will use your "last used" settings. For me X9 always defaults to JPG because it's what I last used. Then if I start saving as PNG automatically defaults to my last used PNG settings. Same with PSPImage.

Ah! Thank you LeviFiction. You are such a brilliant source of knowledge and experience!
I only use the "Save as" to save a pspimage. Otherwise I use the File > Export option.

Well, bummer. That's kinda what I expected but mine is not doing that. Regardless of how many files I open then Save As a jpg file, the next one always defaults to PSPimage. I searched for a "last used" option in Preferences, but no luck. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help.
