Vertical docking of PSPX9 Tool Options?

Post by MrBill3 »

I've been using PSPX2 for many years but have just upgraded to X9. So far I've been able to figure out everything with one exception. How can I force the Palette / Tool Options commands to dock vertically on the left of my screen?

You can't dock it vertically. You can float it vertically, but no docking.

I think it was back in X4 that they did a major revamp of the UI and docking systems. For a long time we couldn't even put the Layers palette anywhere but the right-side of the screen. And still can't dock much to the bottom other than the organizer. (No matter how many times I complain about wanting the histogram on the bottom).

The Tool Options palette is just another example of some lost flexibility.

Rats, that's what I thought. In my experimentation to dock vertically, I did not even get it to float vertically. How do I do this?

Thanks!
