Where Are Tubes, Frames, etc. in Paintshop Pro X9
My previous version of Paintshop Pro v5 had the tubs, frames, etc. in the documents folder under Corel Paintshop. Where are they in version 9 and can I copy the old ones over to the new directory?
The Tub icon on the workspace does not have an arrow next to it so I can't access the list of tubs. If I click on the icon on a picture, it just puts a random tub on there. It doesn't appear that I have a choice of which tub to use.

X9 = 19. And it's in the same location.
Documents\Corel PaintShop\X9\
Also, yes you can just copy the individual folders from X5 over to X9.

Thanks but why can't I access the ones that were installed with PSP 9?

The defaults aren't that much unless you got the creative content download. And all things installed by the X9 installer are placed in the ProgramData folder. So I'm not sure what you mean, or why, you can't access things installed with X9.

The instructions say to click on the arrow next to the tub icon but there is no arrow, therefore I can't access any of the tubs. They are in the ProgramData folder, I just can't get to them. Maybe I need to try reinstalling.

The arrow is next to the picture of the current tube. Found on the tool options palette.
You need to select it in the tool, simply opening the file in PSP won't let you use it. So knowing where they are on your harddrive isn't useful.

For what it is worth, they are installed here: C:\ProgramData\Corel\Corel PaintShop Pro X9

Here is what my screen looks like. As you can see, there is no arrow next to the tub icon. If I click on the picture to insert a tub, it is always the same one with no option to change it. I know where the tub files are located, I just can't get to choose the one I want.

Did you actually look at the image that LeviFiction posted? If you did you'll see that he drew a rectangular, red outline around the icon you are supposed to be looking at for the little arrow. It's not the left hand toolbar where you select the tool. It's the Tool Options ribbon at the top. Try again please.

You are looking in the wrong place for the arrow. You need to be on the tools option tool-bar. See below.
PSPX9 | PSP2020 | PSP2021| PSP2022 | PSP2023 & PhotoMirage installed; PSPX | PSPX2 thru PSP2019 owned but not installed

Can the heading for this topic be changed to refer to X9 rather than 9 which may confuse in some searches.
AS others have said beside the image of a particular tube or a particular frame is a very small and often hard to see down arrow (Could Corel correct the color of this arrow or change its blend to make it stand out more).
Tubes : Frames:

Re: Where Are Tubes, Frames, etc. in Paintshop Pro X9
I am finding PSP X9 a difficult program to work with. LeviFiction's photo shows the arrow I should be clicking on to see the tubes but clicking on it does no good. If I click on the tiny picture icon it places that particular Tube on my photo, even though I want to see the collection and pick a different one.

What do you mean by saying that clicking on the little arrow to the immediate right of the tiny picture does no good?patetc wrote:I am finding PSP X9 a difficult program to work with. Re: Where Are Tubes, Frames, etc. in Paintshop Pro X9
I try to click on it (it is half hidden) but nothing happens. Shouldn't a list of tubes be seen, or at least a window?
