Is there a way to have Video Studio Pro X8 use Firefox instead of the Windows Browser when I'm logging into YouTube? I get a message from Google that I'm logging in from Internet Explorer but I don't use IE. Not sure if that's why it won't let me upload directly from VideoStudio Pro to YouTube or not.

You may want to be a bit more specific (details, where in process you see message etc) about the issue you have. For example:
- I have Firefox as my default browser (if it's not, there is the usual question about making it the default when it opens . . . ) and I've used it to login/upload videos to Youtube many times.
- opening X8 Pro, selecting a project, choosing the share mode, and then the web option, choose Youtube and you get asked to log-in from the VS share panel.
- a google login box opens, I can use my Youtube/Google login ID details and there's no question about the log-in. Choose Manage videos from the google dialog box, and it's all presented there in the VS share panel for you to do - select OK to start the process.
I didn't go any further than this to see what if anything might be an issue with You tube logins from VS.
OR
as a 1st option, create the final movie using VS, then use the browser to upload it without getting VS involved in anyway. This way you have a local copy of the finished product.

Update
got an email from Youtube about log-in from IE re the share/web/Youtube log-in from X8 So, it seems that the login from X8 is hard coded to use IE (at least, calls to the IE code within windows) in VS. Too late for a warranty fix by a long shot. Maybe you should just use the alternative approach I outlined earlier. ????

I don't have IE registered in my 7SP1.
When I run any share site tab from VS I get a small window with the page but I don't see any IE process running.

Re: Change Browser Video Studio Pro X8
Alas asik, while you can select another preferred browser, you cannot remove the IE code from windows (I've tried - this is the advice from MS). So whilst the IE UI might not be running, function calls to its components are only to possible, in this case a certainty.
And from the Corel perspective, handy since they only have to code for one known browser as the feature standard. If you don't like IE (and I don't), then render the project to the running PC and then upload the output video file to Youtube via whatever browser takes your fancy.

I think we would need more information to respond to the question from OP

I as you david.
when I wrote "I don't have IE registered" I meant it is only in winsx. so I can't run it.
The references to the websites is in VS's /Ulead.dat folder.

Re: Change Browser Video Studio Pro X8
I have written Windows programs that access the Internet using Microsoft Visual C development environment. The libraries provided are all pieces that are in IE, and thus a program would look like IE was being used to access the internet.
