Hi,

Just installed the X9 SP5 update and am looking for the Welcome tab?

Where do I find that?

Thanks,

Hi westley,

I assume that when you launch VSX9 it is opening on the Edit Screen, to open with the Welcome Tab, go to Settings/Preferences/General and change the Default startup page to Welcome Book

The Welcome page isn't an option. All I get is Edit or Capture. :(

Your mention of the version number, Robert, seems to remind me that the original version of X9 did not come with a welcome screen. But it appeared eventually with one of the later -- or the very latest -- update. So it would be interesting to know what version of X9 westley has...

Hi westley

Looking at your image of the Preferences seems to indicate that SP5 has been installed.
There is an issue with the panel display as the MediaLibrary Animation words cover the Start Up panel options.

Can you go to Help About, I see 19.7.0.12 as the current version. What do you see?

Once SP5 is installed the program should start with the Welcome screen until changed via F6
A Welcome tab can be seen at the top of the User Interface, left of the Capture tab.

Select the link provided by Robert, select the VideoStudio 9 tab and download the Service Pack 5.
Double click that file to install again, for me the SP5 will install again, maybe that will fix the original sp5 installation?

Hi All,

I checked my version numbers and I have 19.7.0.12. I downloaded and reinstalled SP5, still no option to show the Welcome screen. :(

I would assume that VS wouldn't let me install SP5 until SP4 was installed, correct?

Should I uninstall and reinstall from scratch? If I do so, do I need to uninstall all the Newblue filters also?

Thanks,
Westley

Hi

Probably better if you uninstall X9 & plugins and start from scratch.

Note:
Important: VideoStudio X9.5 or higher must be installed before you install Service Pack 5.

You may need to find the X9 uninstall "clean-up tool", lata (Trevor) I think gives links to the tool.

C:\Users\Trevor\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro (x64)\19.0
