New Laptop, VSX10 & Win 10
Carried out a fresh download of VSX10 for installation in new win 10 laptop, installation appeared to proceed normally, launched VSX10 without issue
However, in the desktop PC fx Library (win 7) I have a New Blue Art Effects folder containing 10 effects I have no idea where this folder came from, it does not appear in any Corel features for VSX10 and is certainly nothing that I have installed separately.
Now in the installation for Win10, this folder does not appear and nowhere within the program data, does it make any reference to those 10 filters, so where has it come from. Do other uses have this folder in a Win 10 environment, if so, any idea where to locate it.
On a more serious note, before I remembered that it is necessary to "show all hidden folders" I tried to reset the library, VSX10 crashed, not only that, but Win 10 crashed as well and could not be recovered, so reinstalled OS on the computer recommendation and started again, just for the hell of it, I once again tried to reset the library, and yep, X10 crashed again and so did Win 10, another reinstall of the OS followed, so wont try that again.
At the moment not a happy chappie with Win 10, already wishing I had Win 7 installed instead
Update
Also come to the conclusion that the New Blue Essentials Packages and other packages, which are not included by Corel but which are owned separately cannot be installed with Win 10. Whilst they appear to install OK, they refuse to show in the Library. Also notice that Art Effects are part of VSX9 so why wont they display with Win 10

Re: New Laptop, VSX10 & Win 10
No sign of any New Blue Art effects anywhere in my Videostudio X10 running on Windows 10 on this laptop - I don't remember ever having anything like that
the desktop updated itself to Windows Creator version as I shut it down last night - I have yet to discover what effect that has had on the whole desktop computer

Re: New Laptop, VSX10 & Win 10
Hi Robert
I have tested the library reset on my pc running windows 10 without problems.
Have you tried resetting the program by renaming the 20.0 folder, just in case those files are corrupt, for some reason.
If the laptop is brand new make sure all windows updates are up to date?
Art Effects, I recall those????? I think? Maybe my imagination...an extra freebie?
I have X9 32 bit installed at the moment so do not see the filters, neither can I find any files on my hard drive?
If the FX files are within the vft_plugin folder for X9 then copy those to the X10 folder?

Re: New Laptop, VSX10 & Win 10
Hi Trevor,
Tried resetting by renaming the 20.0 folder, did not work.
Those Art Effect filters show in both VSX9 and VSX10 on the desktop (Win 7)
Copied the vft folder from VSX10 desktop and installed in VSX10 laptop still no show, same with other New Blue packages which I own but are not part of the Corel package.
Now, when I look more closely at the vft_plug I notice that the date of the Art Effect filters are shown as being installed on 30/01/2017 for both X9 and X10, so where that package came from is a mystery.

Hi Robert
I have looked and cannot find any ArtEffect files, maybe my memory is playing tricks.
Once you copy the ArtEffects files across to X10 you may have to do the rename 20.0 again for them to show?
I assume both pc's are 64 bit?

Hi Guys
Go to this site

Download and installing Art Effects (Customer Option) will install to video studio 32bit and 64 bit programs.
I now see the Art Effects in all VS programs.

I download them all, and try a few on my 19.2.
I'm going to restore my system soon so don't care to mess things now.

They seem to be the full versions here, not a trial version that I can see.

Re: New Laptop, VSX10 & Win 10
Very similar problems as Robert.
Old Fujitsu laptop :
VS Ultimate X8 installed by default in Program Files (not Program Files X86). X10 did the same. Because of space problem, I uninstalled X10. In X8, NewBlue Art Effects and Video Essentials VI that I bought, both appear and are fully functional. In X10, I couldn't not see them. Before I uninstalled Ultimate X5 and X6, I had NewBlue Light Effects and 3D Explosions transitions (that I bought) in both versions, but they never appeared in X8. NewBlue answer was that X8 didn't support Light Effects, nor 3D Explosions.
New ASUS computer :
I installed Ultimate X5 (but I don't use it anymore), X6, X8 and X10. In X6 : Light Effects, Art Effects and Video Essentials VI work fine, problem with 3D Explosions.
In X8, None of them are present. Let's not « talk » about X10.
I've downloaded all versions shown in the site Trevor provided in his reply, but absolutely none of them work, either X8 or X10.
Because of all these « little » problems, I now have three computers that have very nice effecs, but none of them accepts all. NewBlue wants us to buy their products, but do not want to provide them for all VS versions.

Re: New Laptop, VSX10 & Win 10
I finally managed to get all my owned New Blue Packages to display in VSX10, Win 10
Copying and pasting from the desktop vft folder did not work
What I had to do was, install each New Blue Package, add the path (don't know why, never works) register each package, locate each package in the C: New Blue folder and copy the contents into the vft folder.
Bare in mind that not all New Blue Packages have 64 bit installers for VS and never will have, that link provided by Trevor, shows which products can be used with 64 bit VS, those marked "Consumer"
