What is Current Version

Post by RobertOZ »

Just installed VSX10 on my new system, specs below, installed without issue and extremely fast, except the Bonus Content, notice that the version number is X10.1.0.14 whereas on the desktop the version number is X10.1.0.06, check shows no updates available, anyone know what the difference is between the 2 versions

You have probably been there, but gives an idea of what SP1 adds.

Hi Robert,
I didn't install the released X10 until May 8, and then used 'check for updates' to get sp1. Despite regular checks for updates since, there haven't been any, and the version in my Help About is still X10.1.0.14. - same as your new system.

So it looks like a minor release change to sp1 was made sometime between initial release (4 apr if I recall) and May. And if your desktop was updated when sp1 first came out, I don't find it surprising that the same nominal version shows different minor release numbers. I've commented in the forums elsewhere that on the evidence Corel had poor version control practices . . and on your experience, not yet fixed.
