First, it's important to use the correct terminology to ensure you get the answer you are looking for. I am going to assume that you mean you copied an image and pasted it into another image. This could have been done by either using Paste As New Selection or Paste As New Layer. Your use of the word Selection would lead me to think it was the former but that could be incorrect and you could have meant the latter.ketanco wrote:i selected an image and pasted it onto another image. now i want to resize the pasted selection. but no change to the image on which i pasted the selection. how?
In either case, you could use one of two methods to resize that pasted image. The first would be to select the Pick tool from the toolbar and (assuming you want to resize keeping the aspect ratio) making sure you have Scale selected in the Mode dropdown on the toolbar. Then Right click on one of the corner nodes and drag the image to the size you want. Using this method will cause a floating selecton to become promoted to a raster layer.
The other method is to go to Image>Resize and set the method you want to resize by (Pixels or Percent), determine how much, Uncheck the Resize All Layers box and click OK. Using this method will retain the Floating Selection.
