VideoStudio X10 - Adding straightforward text to video....?

Post by Flash_Gordon_2017 »

Hi,

Been using the X10 for a couple of days now, and since yesterday trying to help and get a draft video out for a colleague.....

So far so good....overall with the first draft.

However, he would like his company name on the video just readable in the top right hand corner from start to finish. Almost like a watermark feature....

Just static green lowercase italic text, no fade in or outs, or special effects, etc.

How do I add just basic text, with absolutely no frills or animations, etc. to the video timeline? I can't seem to figure that out?

Any help would be appreciated.... :D

Cheers.

Hi

If you have used the samples from the library, the next text we try to create may use some of those settings, seems to default to the last settings we used.

For a new title

Select the “T” from the vertical column
Double click the preview screen to set/show the curser
This activates the text editor
Select Font Type and size
Select the colour you wish to use
Test Backdrop should be deselected
Border / Shadow/Transparency
Border….Remove any selection
Shadow….select first icon, float mouse for tool tip.

That should create clear text, type some characters, click timeline to add text clip, drag to library to save a copy.
If you need those particular settings, simply select from library.

Viewing the library I see the fifth sample, the scrolling text seems to be clear of additional settings, other than the animation
Select that and place in timeline, click preview screen to select text
Choose Attributes tab and deselect Animation radio button
Replace the text.
