I saved 2 selections to the PSP default folder. When I attempt to load them onto a new canvas, All I see is a selection marque no image. What do I need to do to correct this?
Thanks. Jim B.

Re: Saved selection problem
Saving a selection saves the marquee, not the selected pixels. It's not an image (technically) it's just the selection shape.
If you want to save selected pixels, copy them to a new image and save that image.

Re: Saved selection problem
Once you have made your selection, do Selections > Float or Selections > Promote selection to Layer.
This will produce a new layer with the selected part of the image surrounded by transparency.
Making sure you have Window > Tabbed Documents unticked drag the thumb of that new layer onto the workspace where it will form a new cropped image with transparency.
You can then save that as a png or a pspimage to keep its transparency and reload it to use with another image
