Questions about VideoStudio Ultimate10 X
I bought VideoStudio Ultimate 10X Months ago and was haveing troubles after installing it, I was also having issues with my Windows 10 upgrade. So to be sure of what was causing me problems, I decided to buy the full version of Windows 10 Pro and a New Solid-State hard drive. I finally got around to installing both and all is running great, I downloaded the latest version of VideoStudio Ultimate 10X and I have a few questions as it looks a bit different than the version I had before doing my fresh install of Windows 10.
1. I see there is a new tab called "welcome" that the program opens to every time I open VS Ultimate 10X, can that be changed? Not sure I want to see a sales pitch from Corel every time I open the program.
2. Also, I noticed that when I did the install if put a folder called VideoStudioX10 on my desktop, I know the program was installed to my C:\ drive. This folder has other folders in it called "64 bit", "Common:, StandContent2" and Videostudio_install.exe. This all indicates to me that it installed to my desktop is this correct? if not what is this folder for? does this folder have to be on my desktop?
3. When I first installed VS Ultimate 10X I remember having Boris to make titles, I see no evidence of Boris in the program now, however, it does have something in the help files about using Boris. Is it located in a different place now or do I have to be editing a video before it shows up?
My original problem with VS Ultimate 10X was the screen capture wasn't working, I have not got that far into the program as of yet but wanted to get these questions answered first before I start doing anything with VS Ultimate 10 X.
Thanks in advance

Re: Questions about VideoStudio Ultimate10 X
Yes, you can change the way VS opens. Go to Settings > Preferences and change the 'Default startup page' to Edit or Capture (something other than Welcome Book).
As for the folder on your desktop, I don't know what that's pointing at, other than possibly the folder that contains the installation files for VS X10. You can probably remove that from your desktop, as it exists somewhere already in your file system.
Boris Title Studio on my copy of VS is under the FX filters. Check there to see if you can find it.

One other thing that I noticed after installing the latest update for VSX10 is that, even though it's 64bit, the folders are for some reason installed under Program FIles (x86). I've made Corel aware of this, and they are supposedly working on a fix. It doesn't affect the operation of the software.

As far as Boris it is not in my FX filters at all ????????

You don't see BCC Title Studio or Boris Graffiti 7.0 listed there?

Re: Questions about VideoStudio Ultimate10 X
Did you install the additional stuff that came along with VSX10? There were some standard Content packs that I think contained the things you're missing. You might try running the install again to see if it picks those things up. I recall having to do that once because I was missing all kinds of things.

Re: Questions about VideoStudio Ultimate10 X
Just downloaded all the additional content and still no Boris. I don't want to install VS Ultimate 10 X again with the risk of having to reinstall all the additional content again. If I don't get any other ideas I might have to do that.theavy wrote:Did you install the additional stuff that came along with VSX10? If you look in Control Panel > Programs and Features, is there anything listed under Boris?

If you installed X10 Ultimate correctly then there should be an entry in the "program and Features" section called
BCC Title Studio for Corel VideoStudio 10

I went to Corel and entered my serial number and clicked download, the download started and then installed. If Corel's download and install package is wrong I don't know what is correct? I installed it correctly.canuck wrote:If you installed X10 Ultimate correctly then there should be an entry in the "program and Features" section called

Do Not delete this folder, if you do you would have to download the files again should you wish to re-install the program.e_a_g_l_e_p_i wrote: 2. When we run the Web Installer it provides a folder called VideoStudioX10 on our desktop, this folder is used to hold the installation files for the program.
We can choose a different save location, anywhere on our PC, but by default the Desktop is first selected.

Boris Graffiti
I am a little confusion here…..
We should have Boris Graffiti and a new filter called BCC Title Studio.
Can you say which FX filter is missing?

Hi
Are there any other FX filters missing?
How many filters do you see, the image shows my FX library content.
