UI Layout does not work - X7, X9 or X10

HI, just tried to change the UI from the Default to a Custom option in Preferences, in all of above versions of VS. I remember trying it a while back and it didn't work, but didn't bother to look into it as I normally use the default layout. Would the reason it does not work have something to do with my graphics card?

Hi Alan

From the Edit timelines, have you rearranged the layout by dragging the panels, then save the layout via Settings - Layout settings- Save to choosing one of the Custom options

Now press F7 to reset to default
Then Settings Layout Switch to the saved Custom option

Are you saying that does not work.

I started by trying to answer Budds post http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=62012, which I see you also answered. Then I thought I had better see what affect changing the UI made. And so after just coming out of hospital the day before, which I had been rushed into A&E as suspected stroke, but was in fact Vertigo!! I was still on tablets and not thinking straight. I was thinking those were alternative preset layouts, and not Customer save alternative layouts. I should have looked at the manual!!!

Not a Problem, and not a waste of time, its just a learning curve, sometimes we need a reminder.
There was an issue after installing SP1 for X9 that caused the library to show full length, cutting down the timelines.
Also the addition of the welcome screen changed the view of Preferences, the Welcome option being squashed / covered so we did not see the open with Edit option.

Anyway look after yourself, get well, compared to where I am you are stood on your head, that’s gonna make you dizzy.
