I am having the same trouble burning a DVD as I did in the following post.
SHARE TAB MPEG-2 VSX9
http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=61035
When I try to burn a dvd , I get a notice saying “convert step got some problems”
This is because (I think) the project settings cog in the CVS box tells me it is NTSC,720x480 and 29.97 fps. These are not the project settings of the file I made for a DVDPAL system video eg 720 x 576 25 fps.
I re rendered the file but this has made no difference and I am at a loss as what to do. Please help, this is very frustrating

Hi Kenneth
The anomaly of showing the wrong format in share – to create a video that will play on computer does not affect the burner module.
If you have rendered the project to a new video file (DVDPal ) then use that to burn your disc.
First how large is that file in Gb, must be lower than 4.3 Gb.
Try this workflow.
1 / start a new project
2 / Insert your DVD Pal video to the top timeline, that should prompt you to match the project properties, Select Details to view the left panel video properties, copy and paste those details to your post, then say yes / ok.
3 / Remove the video from the top timeline, no clips on the timelines. ( this is important)
4 / Share Create Disc DVD, will open the burner module
5 / top left for icon “ Add Video Files” – browse for your PalDVD and insert to timelines
6 / Create your menu
7 / from Project Settings (lower left cogwheel) make sure that Do-Not convert Compliant Mpeg files IS ticked. You do not need to set any other properties here, in fact ignore the settings.
8 / Project Settings -- whilst there set the Navigation Controls for your menu.
9 / From the final page deselect Create Disc—then select Create Disc Image – select a folder to save the files.
10 / Burn – will start the process with Convert Menu, the process create an ISO file, an exact image of the disc.
Use VCL Media Player to play that ISO file.
11/ From Video Studio - Tools – Burn from disc image will allow you to burn the ISO to disc.
How far do you get with that process?

Re: Burn DVD problem VSX9
I am certain that both files that I rendered were DVD Pal .(File size 3,115,610KB).I would be very surprised indeed if I made the mistake 2nd time round of rendering a NTSC file. However, after I inserted the 2nd rendered file movie clip into the timeline the project properties” showed previous setting” high lighted and DVD NTSC under properties.
So I selected the 2nd option of DVD 720x576 16.9 50i 8mbps and then new. Then I got a message that modifying the setting may clear the cache etc and clicked ok. Now project propertied show DVD PAL. Right clicking the time –properties show MPEG 2 video at 25 fps.So that is where I am at the mo and will continue with the suggested workflow. The rendered file on my hard drive shows properties of 720x576 25fps

Hi Kenneth
Now clear the timelines, remove the clip. The project properties are set for Pal DVD, that was the whole object of adding the video file.
When you do Share Disc DVD the properties there should now be the same as the timelines properties, that is PalDVD.
When you finally press Burn the process should start with Convert Menu
If you see Convert Title then some settings are incorrect, unless you have set Normalise Audio, that option will start with Convert Title.

Re: Burn DVD problem VSX9
Before I saw your last post, I went through the10 steps as advised. When the clip showed in the media clip list the cog wheel for project settings showed NTSC. Nether the less I continued to item 9 and then on trying to create an ISO file I got the message “Covert step got some problems”

Hi Kenneth
And when you pressed Burn, what did you see.?
You will get a message saying This action will take some time to Render, Ok to that
When the process starts what do you see on the top bar Total Progress you should get Convert Menu
Can you confirm
Or do you get Convert Title.
