I'm trying to use the stop motion tool with my NIkon D7000, but it isn't detecting.
It only finds the built in webcam.
Digicamcontrol works just fine.
Any hints?

Hi
Sorry for the lack of response, I guess that says we just do not know.
I have not used stop motion so a little difficult for me to comment.
I will dig out my camera and see how I get on.

Re: VS X9 with Nikon Stop Motion
Hi
Using CVSX9 32 bit I was able to use my canon D7 with Stop Motion
Yesterday my first attempt was not good, but repeat tests today went ok although not that intuitive, guessing what I should do, maybe I should read the manual.
I accessed the Capture Stop Motion screen, connected camera via usb
Switched on to get message new device connected, do I want to use.
Top right shows my Canon DSLR Plug-in selected, I do not have any other video devices connected.
I set Stop Motion Settings to use Auto Capture
DSLR settings showed the cameras settings, I had P mode.
Then I hit the red play below preview and the camera started taking images as set on Auto Capture.
That allowed me to rearrange my subject matter to create a motion playback.
It would take me a while to get that correct, but if I was into creating my own animation I guess this works.
If your camera is not been recognised by the program then maybe you should contact CorelSupport, I do not know where the list of compatible cameras is, maybe the help menu?

Re: VS X9 with Nikon Stop Motion
They don't give a real answer on compatibility.
They just said if it wasn't detected, it isn't supported.
I asked about the new version and they said the same. Which I guess means they didn't fix it.
It's frustrating since there is FREE software that does this, (Digicamcontrol)
And when I say free, it is MIT licensed, they could legally copy and paste that code into Videostudio, and then support most of the cameras on the market.

Re: VS X9 with Nikon Stop Motion
I had this problem with my Olympus E-10. The camera needs to output a live picture that can be recognised by a PC.
I now use a HD webcam which works perfectly both with Stop Motion and the Capture Video option in Capture. Interestingly with Capture Video not only will it record what the camera sees but it will also take Snapshots and record them as JPeg files. So another simple way to copy documents if your printer does not have a scan option.

I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure.
