I have FF open on screen then open File Explorer (usually with a reduced size to facilitate the drag and drop). Then I simply drag a video file from File Explorer and drop it on the big open space on the right hand of FF. A screen opens and asks me which format I want to convert it to. I choose that, adjusting its quality settings if necessary, and click OK. Then the chosen video file appears in the open space of FF and I click Start. The new video goes into the same folder as the original -- you can see which folder in any case in the Output column of FF.

I also use the same approach as Ken
