BDXL Disks

Post by jkane »

Hello,
I searched for this but didn't get a hit,
does videostudio X10 support writing to a BDXL disk, I want to use it to record video for archive purposes, I noticed the Blu-Ray drop down on share only goes to 50, not 100 or above
regards
Jeff

As far as I am aware, Video Studio only supports burning a BD video disc up to 50 GB. However, I note that you say you want to burn video to the BDXL disc for archive purposes. If you mean that you just want to store video on the disc for later use/editing in other projects, then of course you could do so, but you don't need Video Studio for that -- just use any program which can burn data to a BD disc. Video is of course just data, and video stored that way could be later retrieved using a player that supports BDXL. But if you are wanting a BD video disc which has the usual Blu-Ray STREAM/CERTIFICATE folders, then VS can only go up to 50 GB.
