Wacom Intuos Pro
Hi!
I am a newbie using Corel PSP X6 (64 bit) and I have a Wacom Intuos Pro (Small) v. 6.3.22-6 both running under Windows 7 Pro (64 bit).
The tablet is connected to the PC via USB and I can open the Wacom Desktop Center. That it is!
How can I test if the table is turned on? How can I test if the tablet works with Corel PSP X6?
Thank you!

PSP should pick it up automatically. Just as it does with a mouse. Simply open PSP and try using the pen.
If nothing works go to File/Preferences/Miscellaneous. Check 'Disable pressure support .........'

Intuos Tablet Settings
Hi!
I tested the tablet and it works with PSP. But, I am confused about the tablet settings.
In the Windows Control Panel -under Hardware and Sound- there are three tablet-related options: (a) Pen and Touch, (b) Tablet PC Settings, and (c) Wacom Tablet Properties.
Additionally, there is (d) the Wacom Desktop Center on the PC and there are (e) controls on the Intuos tablet itself.
Finally, there are (f) controls within PSP itself.
Which of the six do I use?
Thank you!

Re: Intuos Tablet Settings
I'm not in front of my editing computer at the moment. But to the best of my memory I did all my Wacom settings via the Wacom Desktop Center. By setting up via the Wacom Desktop Center your settings should be ok for all programs.

Re: Intuos Tablet Settings
"Pen and Touch" as well as "Tablet PC Settings" are not for your Wacom tablet. Those are (if memory serves) for touch screens, not graphic tablets. Just use the "Wacom Tablet Properties" to make any adjustments.DoctorT wrote:Hi!

Don't know about your tablet, but play around with the sensitivity ... for mine, the more sensitive I make the settings, the harder it is to use properly. Less sensitive gives you better control of "Pressure" and thus makes it more like an actual brush.
Use the brush variance palette in PSP to determine how your software interprets pressure on strokes.

Hi!
Brucet uses the Wacom Desktop Center and Dijenga uses the Control Panel's Wacom Tablet Properties. Again, thank you for your replies.
And, It appears that the controls on the tablet itself are shortcuts to the Wacom Desktop Center.
Finally, nobody suggested to use the PSP controls.
I got work to do.

Re: Wacom Intuos Pro
When you first start using your Wacom in PSP I would suggest selecting a brush of some sort. Then go to Palettes/Brush Variance. Go down to Size and select Normal. Why? Because if you select Pressure, which was my default, then you may not see any visible results. This may be the case for all your brushes until to get the hang of things.Keep testing until you have it all working. FWIW I set all my brushes to Normal. But that's only because it suits my work style.
