Problem with Boris Title Studio
When I launch Boris Title Studio and go to the Presets Browser, it open to the default folder Program Files\Boris FX, Inc\BCC Presets 10 Corel, and I am able to see BCC 3D Objects, and subfolder BCC Title Studio, and its subfolders: Banner and Dropdowns, Timecode, Callouts, Clocks,....etc.., down to Wedding Titles. All good!
But when I change folders to BBC 8 Presets, I can see the entire folder list, including 3D objects, Art Looks, Blur and Sharpen, Image Restoration, ...etc. etc., all the way to BCC Warp, but not of the presets inside these folders appear in the Presets list. On the hard drive these folders are fully populated, but seemingly not available to me within Title Studio.
Can anyone tell me how to make these presets appear within Title Studio?
Thanks,
Ted

Re: Problem with Boris Title Studio
Hi Ted and welcome to the forum,
Boris Title Studio is a free plugin and as such is severely restricted with available options, the only option available is BCC10 for Corel, the only way to get all the available options is to purchase the full program from Boris and that can cost you thousands of dollars depending on what you purchase

Re: Problem with Boris Title Studio
Thanks Robert. But as part of the installation files they loaded a whole bunch of other presets onto my hard drive. There is a BCC 8 folder containing 65+Mb with hundreds of .bsp and .bap files. Why would they send these, if the program can't read them? The tutorials show these presets operational with other video editing software. Why not with Corel?

Re: Problem with Boris Title Studio
When I apply BCC Title Studio to a video in X10, I get what you describe. But that shows the default presets screen which is set to the BCC Presets 10 Corel folder. But you can change that by clicking on the downward arrow beside that folder choice, where I have the red arrow pointing in the attached image which gives you the option to "Choose folder". You can then select BCC Presets 8 and it shows all those presets as also indicated in the attached image.

Re: Problem with Boris Title Studio
Agreed Ken, but all those preset folders are empty, at least they are for me

Re: Problem with Boris Title Studio
Yes, that's the problem. I can select the BCC 8 Presets folder and can see all the subfolders, but the folders are empty, even though my hard drive is fully populated with preset files. I've attached a text file printout of the contents on the BCC 8 folder, in the BorisFX Inc. folder under Program Files. There are a total of 230 folders with 3746 files.
Why would Corel install them if they are not accessible. I have the Ultimate X10 version?
I'm still waiting for an answer from Corel tech support on this!

Re: Problem with Boris Title Studio
I see what you mean, sorry!
I could have sworn when I first tried this the various BCC 8 presets actually populated the folders. But I certainly cannot replicate that now, neither on my editing computer nor another on which I have X10 installed. So I too will be looking forward to hearing what Support might have to say about this.
EDIT: I just tried inserting the BCC 8 Presets folder in the BCC 10 Corel folder, but again the sub-folders showed nothing in them.

I am also sure that during Beta testing BCC8 presets were available, maybe I am thinking of another program I was testing at the same timeKen Berry wrote:I see what you mean, sorry!I could have sworn when I first tried this the various BCC 8 presets actually populated the folders. Re: Problem with Boris Title Studio
Just to close this issue, as promised, here is the 'last word' from Corel Technical Support Services:
"(Turns out,) that even though they are packaged with the installer by Boris, they aren't supported in the customized Studio version we bundle. Boris created a specialized copy of the Title Studio for us, and included the full package, So no one, not even I, can use those other presets. Just the ones meant for the version that came with."
.....
So, now we know! Boris downloads all the presets in the distribution package, but only enables the specific ones for Corel. Nice!

Re: Problem with Boris Title Studio
Hi
Not to confuse things but Boris FX provide 3 free packs that can be used with the Video Studio BCC 10.
You have to register the BCC via the customise panel help menu.
Then access boris.com
View the training tab for Free Presets and Projects
Download only packs marked for BCC10
Files downloaded
Callout.zip
Boris_TS_Jan16.zip
March17_Freepresets_Title Studio.zip ( not sure where I downloaded this from?)
