Hi!
I am a newbie using Corel PSP X6/X7 (64 bit) running under Windows 7 Pro (64) bit.
To test the brush settings, I created a new image: 5” by 5” at 300 PPI.
To customize the brush settings, I followed the Help instructions:
1 - View > Palette > Brush Variance. A small window with 3 options (e.g., Fade Rate) appeared.
2 - On the Tools Bar, I selected the Paint Brush. The Tools Options – Paint Brush displayed several options (e.g., Shape).
Help describes options (e.g., Pressure) that are not displayed either on the Brush Variance window or on the Tools Options.
What is wrong?
Thank you!

Re: How to Customize Brush Settings
Brush variance should have more than 3 options. There should be an area with options "Color blend" "Hue" "Saturation" "Lightness" with settings, and jitter %. Underneath those is Fade Rate, Position Jitter, and Impressions per step.
"Pressure" is in the drop down next to the "Color Blend" and "Hue" and "Size" settings. They default to Normal.
Here you can see what the Brush Variance dialog should look like (you can drag the bottom and resize it) you can see "Pressure" nex tto the Size option. Everything else is set to Normal but can be changed to pressure and other options.

Re: How to Customize Brush Settings
When you first open the variance palette it only shows three settings. Drag the bottom of the dialog box down to see the other settings - Color Blend down to Density.
If you are looking for a Pressure control then you need to click the small white arrow to the right of Normal setting and you will see *Pressure and various other types of setting controls.
There are also some good videos on youtube showing how to make custom brushes and also talking about Brush Variance.
