Splitting file into two (VCD)

I recorded a two hour program as VCD format. I would like to split the file into two files so I can burn each to a CD keeping the VCD format. Don't want to re-encode as DVD. Using MF 3.0 SE. Thanks.

Or would it be as simple as creating a VCD project, importing the big file and deleting the second half, then creating a second project and deleting the first half? Duh?
