I need to upload square videos like 640x640 or 1080x1080 to Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

I need to be able to make an mp4 file or something small that will be accepted by Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
I can't figure out how to do it in VideoStudio X10 other than making avi files which are useless. They are too big and Instagram, Facebook and Twitter choke on the files.

Re: Creating Square Videos for Instagram and Facebook
Try selecting an aspect ratio of 4:3 in settings/project properties before you do any edits or render. It's not quite square, but close. Many of those on-line sites re-process any uploads anyway, so this may work for you.

Re: Creating Square Videos for Instagram and Facebook
That is close, but not close enough.
Instagram really displays 1:1 videos as large easy to see and engage images.
There really has to be a way to do this.
Especially since Instagram is such an important social media platform.

Hi Glupine
And welcome to the forums
Most formats used by Video Studio only allow 4:3 and 16:9 ration, but as you know we can set Avi with the appropriate compression to any shape using the User Defined sizes.
Mov (QuickTime) also allows this.
As you managed to render a square video to Avi, use the same process but render to mov, create your own template to 720 x 720, for HD quality I would try 1080 x 1080.
We can also set project properties to Mpeg4 720 x 720 by fooling the system, add a square video to get the Show Messages to match the properties.
I would also change the background colour from Black, so you can identify the actual preview frame. Then set black before rendering

I post 16:9 videos in Instagram just fine; videos don't have to be 1:1Glupine wrote:That is close, but not close enough.

Hi
Do you have QuickTime Codec installed, view this post
http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php ... ec#p342651
Quicktime had a security issue with its Web Player, the QT Players are no longer supported and should be uninstalled from our pc's.
However we can install the Codec which is required when using Mov type video.
