Can you make a clickable link in a video?

Post by rkstudio »

Hello. Does anyone know if you can make a clickable link in a video? Let's say if you have a button image in the video and you want to select the area of the button and make it a clickable link.
Anyone know how to do that?

Hi

As far as I know you would have to create a HTML project.
Then right clicking a clip would give the option to add a link.

From share the project is saved as a HTML, an option shows in the vertical icon list.
I believe the files would then be uploaded to a web page to used that link.

But to add a link to a normal VSP project is not possible.

To make a HTML5 file, before you do anything else in Video Studio, you first click on File and select "New HTML5 Project".

You should then receive a message box saying "All effects and clips in background tracks will be rendered to one video file after exporting to HTML5 format".

You then add your video clips and do your editing.

Then, when ready to convert the project to HTML5 format, you click Share, and you should get this screen, where the second icon down is HTML (where my red arrow is pointing). Give the file a name and then press Start.

Hello everybody! thanks to all for interesting discussion, it was useful. I am going to create some video for my essay writing online website and it would be a great idea to put in the video clickable link on our website. Again, a lot of thanks!
