I am having a problem creating text on a path around an object.
After making sure I have created a path, I find that when applying text, the symbol for text on a path appears but the text still wraps inside the object.
Is there a trick to making it work?
I have never had problems creating text this way before.

Select the path
Go to the menu: Objects - > Edit -> Reverse Path
Is the text now along the outside?

I tried your suggestion and ended up with text following the path reversed but again inside the object as if it was offset.
I then reversed the path again and this time the text ended up a big tangled mess.
I created a new path and it worked perfectly!
Search me!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I must have a bug in there somewhere.
