VideoStudioX10 Installation problem

Hello,

I downloaded the trial version of the above program(that equally forces you to download the full program in the background). Non the less after waiting an excruciating 8 hours for the program to download I received the following error message "We encountered a problem while installing. Please contact Technical support" http://imgur.com/a/mt8Du

I look forward to any insight and/or solutions.

a few minor details.
1. windows 10 pro
2. Hp Probook
3. 32 bit, with x64 processor, 8GB RAM, >600GB space on Hardrives, core i5 7th Gen
4. The program was fully downloaded, it did not glitch midway.
5. I have tried all other solutions offered online; running as admin, disabling firewalls and anti-virus software, re-installing, re-starting the computer etc.

Apologies for the delay in our reply.


A little difficult for us to replicate as with X10 installed we cannot download the trial.

First have you managed to install the program?

If no, you may be best in contacting Corel, they have a Chat line via their web site.
We do not work for Corel, just volunteers running the forums.

I would uninstall using the Cleanup tool, if that works for the trial.

I would download the trial again, it should not take 8 hours, my last download was just over 1 Gb

Had almost the same problem: Installed the try out version x10 - then decided to buy ultimate version. Downloaded the installation files (info was: update from trial to ultimate). Started installation - message: an error occured contact technical support.- But installation went on. Same error at the end of installation (at installation point sp1) but finished the process and reported: successful. After starting the app i checked the info in menue and read Ultimate X10 BUT: Trying to import mxf files - was not possible. No mxf support was installed. Solution was: FIRST deinstall the test Version of x10. THEN: Download the install of Ultimate (This time there is no message of "upgrading from testversion") and fullfill a fresh installation. Then the startup app windows is no longer X10 but ULTIMATE X10 and in my case the mxf support was installed and no more error messages in the installing process appear.

My System: Win 10 / Intel I5/ 8 GB Ram / 1 TB HDD
