How do I lock vector layers (PSP X9)?

Post by roberts-end »

How can I lock a vector layer so I don't accidentally move objects while working on other layers? I had hoped the lock icon would do the job but as far as I can tell it only locks raster layers.
Thanks in advance

What tool are you using that you accidentally move other objects? Are you using the pick tool or the pen tool or just edit mode with whatever vector tool you've just used?

To answer your question I'm not aware of any way to lock objects in place. I have personally never had an issue with grabbing other objects by accident either so I've never felt the need to look for one either. Grabbing the entire path while trying to move just a single node, that I've done a lot. xD

Usually I have the pick tool selected but it can happen with other tools, For example using the pen tool to start a line on one layer sometimes selects a vector object in a different layer. If its not just me then it worth adding 'lock tool on vector layer prevents objects on that layer being selected/moved' as a suggestion for PSP x10.
