Can't Install CVSX10 upgrade-chckd hotfixes, tried w/adm pri

Post by pazzaglia »

I upgraded from CVSx9 to 10, but when I try to install it I keep getting the dreaded message that they encountered problems and to contact technical support. I' didn't have all of these issues when I upgraded from CVSx7 to 9, everything worked flawlessly - granted it was a different computer not running Windows 10.

I've already tried installing using Admin privileges, and- nothing! Please give me some more things to try!!

Thanks,

L

P.S. Contacted technical support Friday, haven't heard anything back.

Hi

And welcome to the forums.

It appears from the image you provided that the installation of the main program has nearly completed, Hmmm…I assume the program will not run.
Uninstall the program using the X10 Cleanup tool from here.

Can you try running the Web Installed again but choose to download only.
Allow that process to complete.

First move the Web Installer file 10.8 Kb ish to a new folder, then download the files again to the new folder. The first downloaded files may be corrupt.
Download the Main Program on its own. Deselect all other options. The downloaded files being saved to \64bit\Ultimate folder
Then try to install the Main package again using the Web Installer, deselect the other packs, so installation completes without downloading the other packs.

If that works ok and the program runs, run the Web Installer again to “download only” the remaining files.

Now run the Web Installer again to install the remaining packs.
The process will verify your files and not download again.
